Note: It bothers me to kill endangered species, particularly tigers and snow leopards. I once played the entire game while killing no tigers and only one snow leopard, which insisted on jumping in front of the snowmobile. See the detail of the Tibetan Foothills level for a way to spare that last snow leopard.

 

LEVEL 1: GREAT WALL

 

SECOND GUARDHOUSE: From the right of the second guardhouse, jump onto the rock wall. Continue.

LEVEL 2: VENICE

 

BOATHOUSE AND VILLA: Bypass the barking Doberman in the closed room.

 

LEVEL 3: BARTOLI'S HIDEOUT

 

THE BACK DOOR: After getting SECRET #1, the balcony outside the room with the switch and yellow wallpaper provides at least two back ways into the boathouse area. Get the UZIS, then return to the balcony.

 

Use the arch bug to avoid the first Library room and all the climbing and leaping in the second Library room, and the awnings outside.

 

Nice views just before the end of the level.

LEVEL 4: OPERA HOUSE

 

THE ROOF: For a shortcut and to avoid the two thugs who attack when you open the trap door to the LIGHTING BOOTH, enter the opera house via the area shown at left.

LEVEL 11: TIBETAN FOOTHILLS

 

CANYON AND LAKE: Trigger the snowballs before sliding down.

 

HUT AND SNOWMOBILE: Get the snowmobile onto the wall between the hut and the lake.

Get the snowmobile on top of the hut. Return to the beginning of the level. Drive on the bottom of the lake.

LEVEL 12: BARKHANG MONASTERY  

 

ROLLING BLADES/ROOFTOPS: Skip the burners on the roof and the switch to turn them off.

Avoid going on top of the Buddha, and finish the level with one gemstone.

LEVEL 15: TEMPLE OF XIAN

 

MAIN CHAMBER: Lara, Firewalk With Me.

LEVEL 16: FLOATING ISLANDS

 

MYSTIC PLAQUE GATE AND GARDEN BEYOND: Get over the wall, letting Lara skip the two mystic plaques, allowing a substantial shortcut to the end of the level. This is mentioned in the Expert’s Challenge on Theresa’s site.

 

TR2GOLD - LEVEL 1: THE COLD WAR

 

SHAFT B/EXIT: After you take out the eagle and the two snipers in the last open area, bugs allow a lot of exploration.

LEVEL 2: FOOL'S GOLD

 

OPEN AREA WITH VARIOUS SMALL(?) BUILDINGS: Circle the entire area off the ground.

 

Take out a Doberman with your snowmobile guns.

 

LEVEL 4: KINGDOM

 

SLOPE LEADING DOWN TO FINAL AREA: Explore the Guardian’s room at your leisure. The arch bug is the key.
